Events & Initiatives

SEMIKRON enables applicants, students and professors in engineering to visit the company headquarters in Nuremberg which boasts more than 1.600 members of staff. A tour around the company’s biggest production site provides interesting insights into and impressions of the world of a successful power semiconductor manufacturer. Experienced engineers show the visitors the different manufacturing areas and production stages. During a 2-3 hour follow-up session, we also tell them about internships, entrance opportunities and career opportunities within Germany and abroad. Along with many other higher education activities, we regularly attend job and career fairs at regional universities and colleges of higher education in order to make contact with students and graduates. In one-to-one chats, our young engineers and personnel advisors give students information on SEMIKRON as an attractive employer and an overview of our products and production processes in Germany and abroad.

In order to get to know our staff better, SEMIKRON sponsors corporate initiatives filled with fun and games. SEMIKRON’s Action Team SAT is a group of dedicated staff who organise different leisure activities for SEMIKRON employees and their families, such as massages at work, skiing trips, company running events, summer fete, theme evenings, cycling trips, photography workshops, diving and cookery courses, paragliding and lots more. SEMIKRON supports these initiatives to help SAT negotiate good deals. The SEMIKRON football team also trains regularly and plays against other corporate football teams.
