Social Engagement & Personal Values
“Corporate Social Responsibility” means companies’ special responsibility as an element of sustainable business operations. For SEMIKRON, this term is more than just a strategic consideration: the family-run medium-sized enterprise demonstrates in its core business how economic success goes together with social and ecological responsibility. Its strength lies in engagement driven by personal motives and humane values.
SEMIKRON fulfils its special responsibility as a family business with the SEMIKRON Foundation, which bundles and expands the business owners’ charitable activities that have for years been financed from the company’s profits.
The daughters of long-time SEMIKRON owner and CEO Peter Martin have established the foundation, at equal parts, in 2010. The foundation continues the charity projects initiated by Peter Martin and supported by the Mali Martin Care e.V. charity throughout the world. Over the past ten years, Mali Martin Care e.V. has spent more than one million Euros on humanitarian projects for children and young adults, primarily in Brazil (projects "Centro Social" and "Lar do Menor"). In addition, the foundation supports research projects and innovation in the field of power electronics.
